At around 6000 mts above sea level, this is undoubtedly the world's highest battlefield. Spread over 70 kms, Siachen was occupied by Indian army in the year 1984. Since then it is under Indian control & has been a contentious issue between India & Pakistan as Pakistan wants India to vacate all troops from Siachen, while India wants that Pakistan first accepts that it is an Indian territory.
